Review of the bookmaker UBET from Legalbet

UBET was established back in 2015 and it’s owned by the Tatts Group, which is the same company that owns TAB. The current CEO of UBET is Robbie Cooke and the company is 100% Australian, which means that you will find the most popular betting markets in Australia. UBET is licensed and regulated by the NT Director-General of Licensing.

The UBET website looks nice and clean, but the most important thing is that all the important sections of the website are clearly visible and easy to access. UBET uses a two-column layout, with the A-Z sports menu located on the left-hand side of the page, while on the right you will be able to see the upcoming horse races and the sports events of the day.

As for the UBET mobile app, this is available for both Android and iOS users. For the iPhone and iPad users, the app can be downloaded straight from the App Store, while the Android users can download the application from the UBET website. The app works smoothly and it is easy to navigate and the best thing about it is that you can watch live horse races via UBET Race vision or just listen to live race commentaries with RadioTab.

Odds — normal

We calculated the margin for UBET by analyzing the odds they offer. We further ranked them in one of the following three categories:

From 1% to 5%: Low

From 5.01% to 7%: Normal

From 7.01% to 10%: High

Soccer

We got our results by taking into account the odds for final result outcomes measured in line with the over / under for different soccer leagues. Getting the average results using this method, we were able to obtain the margins for each league and the overall betting margin for the bookmaker.

UBET has an overall average margin of 6.46% for soccer and falls in the normal margins category. Taking Spanish La Liga and Italian Serie A into account, the margin is at 5.84%. With the English Premier League and the Championship, the margin is pretty similar and stands at 5.72%. For other soccer leagues like Finnish Veikkausliiga, Latvian Virsliga and Slovenian PrvaLiga the margin rises to 7.83%.

Betting options — bad

UBET offers to its customers the ability to bet on a plethora of sports, from the most popular ones like soccer, tennis, cricket, rugby, horse racing to niche sports like darts, snooker, eSports etc.

Football

There are plenty of betting markets available, especially for the domestic AFL games, but also for the European elite leagues like the English Premier League, Spanish La Liga, French Ligue 1, German Bundesliga, Dutch Eredivisie, etc. MLS is also a league that can be found at UBET, especially during the summer when the Europe top leagues are on a break. The best thing about UBET is their free tips section which is provided by Nick Curry and Gerard Daffy. This is a great resource for punters as the tips are usually diverse, meaning that you will find several betting markets, including winning tips, over/under tips, both teams to score tips and event correct score tips. Unfortunately, even the most popular football games don't have more than 40 betting markets available.

Horse Racing

Horse racing betting fans also have access to free tips for selected race meetings across the country, but this time, they are offered by a couple of analysts like Chris Nelson, Joel Marshall, Julie Rowland or Paul Richards. These tips can help you make some profit, especially the ones on the simple markets like win, place or each way.

For the experienced horse racing bettors, there is also a section with free tips containing more complex betting markets like a quinella, exacta, trifecta, quaddie and multis.
